Forosh.af is an online classifieds site for buying and selling in Afghanistan. For any question about your information, email support@forosh.af.

Who we are

Account: username, name, email or phone number, and your password in protected form. If you sign in with Google, Google gives us your name and email. Profile: photo, bio, province, district, gender and business details, if you add them. Ads: text, photos, video, price and location. Messages: the messages and files you send in chat. Activity: favourites, follows, reviews, reports and when you were last active. Technical: IP address and browser or device type, for example when you view ads.

What we collect

To run your account, show ads, check ads before they are published, deliver messages and notifications, send verification codes, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the site.

Why we use it

These are public and can appear in Google: your ads and their photos, username, name, profile photo, province and district, rating, verified badge, join date, and any contact or WhatsApp number you add for display. Your username is public, so do not use an email or anything private as your username. Your login email and login phone are not otherwise shown. Your last active time also shows unless you turn it off in privacy settings.

What other people can see

ID verification is optional. If you ask for it, you send a photo of your tazkira, passport or driving licence and a selfie with that document. These photos are used only to check your identity and only site admins can see them. Once a decision is made, the photos are erased from the site, but they may remain in encrypted backups for about 30 days. We keep the document type, the result and any reason for rejection.

Advertising

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with companies needed to run the site: hosting and file storage, Google for sign-in, analytics and ads, and email delivery services. We may disclose information when the law truly requires it, or when needed to prevent fraud or serious harm.

Who we share it with

Your information may be stored outside Afghanistan. Backups are encrypted and we work to protect your information, but no system is completely safe. Messages are stored on our servers, so do not send highly sensitive things in chat.

Storage and security

We keep your information while your account is active. To delete your account, email support@forosh.af. We will delete your account and ads. Some files may take longer, and backups remain for about 30 days. We may keep limited records to prevent fraud or meet a legal duty.

Keeping and deleting information

You can edit your profile, delete your ads and turn off your online status. To get or correct your information, email us.

Your choices

This site is for people aged 18 or older. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version here and update the date.
